The evolving MOA Network will support the needs of MOAs working in Victoria PCN member clinics.
The new AHCP program by FPSC offers after-hours care for attached patients of family doctors and nurse practitioners in Greater Victoria and three other BC regions.
FPSC developed the program together with HealthLink BC and divisions of family practice to reduce the challenges family physicians face in providing patients with care outside regular office hours. After-hours care was one of the top burdens family doctors identified during Doctors of BC’s primary care engagement in summer 2022. The new program meets the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC’s Practice Standard for Care Coverage Outside Regular Office Hours.
Family physicians in our region can also sign up to work the after-hours service and receive compensation for their time, paid hourly through a physician group contract with the B.C. Ministry of Health.
If you have other questions or would like to get involved, please contact Myla Yeomans-Routledge at [email protected].
The Victoria Division of Family Practice acknowledges with great respect and appreciation that our office is located on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of the Coast Salish nations. We are privileged to be working on the lands of the Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen/Songhees) and WSÁNEĆ (Tsartlip, Tsawout, Tseycum) Peoples.
