Reichert & Associates invites you to join Gracie Kelly, Indigenous Relations Manager at the Chilliwack Division of Family Practice, and guest speakers Peter Lang, President of the Chilliwack Métis Association and Dr. Francis Horne Sr., Elder who will be sharing their own reconcili’action journeys. Learn about the Truth and Reconciliation Commission Calls to Action, how they have impacted Indigenous peoples in BC, focusing on the experiences of First Nations and Métis speakers, and what steps you can consider in your own reconcili’action journey. South Island Powwow
Saturday, September 30, 10am – midnight at the Royal Athletic Park (1014 Caledonia Ave)
Tradition and culture come alive at the South Island Powwow. In 2022, the powwow brought 10,000 together to stand together on Orange Shirt Day. Through song and dance, the event will celebrate traditional Indigenous cultures and resiliency. First Nations far and wide have been welcomed to join on this day to celebrate in this time-honoured powwow.
