Feedback from community MOAs and Office Managers, via the MOA Network Working Group, guided the development of this page.

The MOA Network will support the evolving needs of MOAs working in Victoria PCN member clinics through a combination of clinical and professional development supports, resources, and ongoing engagement and education opportunities.
Although the Network’s target audience is MOAs working in physician-owned family practices of the Victoria PCN, we welcome the participation of MOAs from UPCCs, CHCs and other government-funded clinics .

In this 2-hour presentation Dr Mark Sherman will introduce mindfulness as a practice of waking up in our work and lives through the use of presence and compassion. We will explore stress reactivity and response, learn a little bit about our brains and how we can self regulate, and have the opportunity to practice accessible tools to use in the midst of the challenges and blessings of the important work that we do.
Dinner will be served from 6:00-6:30 pm, with the presentation taking place between 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Attendees will be paid $25/hour for the two-hour education portion.

Difficult people are everywhere! They act as road blocks to productive engagement, forward movement, and task completion. This interactive session provides participants with the necessary skills to self-regulate, defuse defensive behaviour, and be assertive without landing as aggressive.
