New Link and Referral Units support local emergency departments
Island Health and BC Emergency Health Services have created a new pathway for patients who don’t require emergency care but still need medical attention. The new Link and Referral Units (LARUs) consist of single paramedics in minivans, specializing in assessing and treating 911 patients with non-urgent conditions. Read more here.
