We are currently seeking additional physicians to join the after-hours call group for Victoria. When fully staffed, each physician typically covers two shifts per quarter, with the occasional third shift depending on availability. Our goal is to assign one weekday and one weekend shift per physician, rotating any additional shifts fairly among the group.

There are 4 different shift options available, plus additional shifts on statutory holidays. Remuneration varies depending on the length of the shift. Please reach out directly to us for the precise amounts.

Weekdays from 6pm to 8am:

• Monday/Wednesday OR
• Tuesday/Thursday

Weekends are covered by two physicians:

• Friday/Sunday overnight shift-Friday at 6pm until Saturday at 7pm, then resumes Sunday at 8am until Monday at 8am.
• Saturday overnight shift-starts Saturday at 7am and runs to Sunday at 7pm

Based on 2024 data, physicians on weekday call shifts can expect 2–3 calls, while weekend shifts typically involve an average of 10 calls spread over the entire weekend. Most calls can be managed by phone, though physicians must be available to attend the care home in person if needed. EMR: PointClickCare/PowerChart/Various.

The LTCI monitors call data to ensure the quality of calls and troubleshoots any issues that may arise.
