The Inter-Cultural Association of Greater Victoria (ICA) is launching a new community-based medical clinic designed to provide longitudinal primary care to newcomers, refugees, and members of the broader community who face barriers to accessing healthcare. As the largest settlement agency on Vancouver Island, ICA has spent decades supporting individuals and families as they build new lives in Canada. This clinic represents the next evolution of that work — integrating primary healthcare within a broader ecosystem of settlement, mental health, language, employment, and community support services.
We are seeking Family Physicians who are interested in building a meaningful, relationship-based practice grounded in continuity of care, collaboration, and community impact. Physicians will have the opportunity to develop and manage longitudinal patient panels while being supported by an interdisciplinary environment that recognizes the social determinants of health and the complexities many patients face navigating healthcare systems.
This opportunity is well suited for physicians who value team-based care, culturally responsive practice, and the ability to work with patients over time to improve health outcomes and stability.
The clinic will support physicians under British Columbia’s New-to-Practice Family Physician Contract and/or Longitudinal Family Physician (LFP) Payment Model.

ICA’s clinic is being intentionally designed as a welcoming and community-oriented healthcare environment. Physicians will work alongside a multidisciplinary network that may include mental health clinicians, settlement workers, interpreters, social support staff, and community partners, allowing for more holistic and coordinated care for patients.
