Description: The office is located on the first floor in a multi-medical building that includes on-site medical imaging, laboratory and pharmacy services, enabling easy access for patients to timely investigations. The pharmacy also offers discounts to physicians working in the building. The office is very centrally located in Greater Victoria making it attractive to physicians living in any area. A large shopping mall is just across the street.

Office mission statement: To provide comprehensive, compassionate and timely care to all our patients while respecting and supporting each physicians' physical and emotional health.

Environment:

2 exam rooms.
1 bright office space shared.
1 other full time physician, allowing for extremely efficient use of office space and reducing overhead costs.
The wider office is shared with 3 part-time physicians with their own exam rooms and office.
Shared waiting room, kitchen, staff bathroom and outdoor patio.

Job Specifics

Dr. Laura Phillips is seeking a locum for 3-6 months, anytime between April and October, 2027. This could be continuous or split up over the duration.

Her panel includes patients from 0- 104 years (no maternity offered).

Compensation: LFP Payment model (a portion of the Panel Payment would be included for any duration longer than four month)
Billing split: 80/20 for in office, 100% private billings
Typical hours: Monday-Friday from 8am to 4pm (flexible), including both in-person and virtual care. Virtual care from home is an option.
Allied Health Supports: Victoria Primary Care Network access to a Mental Health Counsellor, Social Worker, and Clinical Pharmacists
Average daily patient volume: 16-20
EMR: Med Access
Optional: on-call obligations, telephone on-call, hospital privileges, nursing home/extended care, surgical assists, house calls, obstetrics
Technology: Wireless, high-speed internet available
Parking: 1 vehicle spot in office lease agreement shared between two physicians
