The FPSC has updated the Long-Term Care Grant to allow a group of two or more family physicians to collectively apply for a single grant of $10,000. This grant will be paid collectively to the group, on the condition that the group of physicians work together to provide MRP care for 5 or more long-term care beds in the same long-term care facility (as of June 30, 2023).

In the application form, the physician group must designate a single family physician to receive the $10,000 grant on behalf of the group. Once the grant has been received, the physician group can distribute the grant among individual physicians according to their internal arrangements.

The name and MSP numbers of all physicians in the group must be included in the application forms. Each physician included in the group can only receive the grant once and will no longer be eligible for additional grants.
