September 30th marks National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as well as Orange Shirt Day. If you’d like to attend an event in recognition of the Survivors, the children who didn’t return home and their families, the Songhees First Nations hosts their Pow Wow that day. Wearing an orange shirt that day raises awareness of the thousands of children sent to residential schools and shares the message that every child matters. Virtual Lunch & Learns are offered here between Sept 22 – 26.
