All community physicians have access to the Kids & Co Benefit and Perkopolis Program through their relationship with Island Health.

The benefit programs are:

1. Canadian-based Kids & Company provides high quality childcare and education with locations in Langford, Victoria, and Nanaimo which provides the following benefits:
   • A guaranteed spot at a Kids & Company Child Care location within 6 months of registration
   • Waived registration fee (savings of $200)
   • Back-up care options: Up to 5 days of back-up care at the discounted rate of $80/day, pay per use
   • Virtual workshops and events – free and/or minimal cost
   • Flexible childcare options ranging from 1 to 5 days a week
   • Operating hours from 7am-6pm with no late pick-up fees (extended hours apply at select locations).
   • A discount for registering multiple children
   • School-age camp programs during school closures and/or disruptions (ages 6-12 years)
   • Discounts on a variety of partner programs, services, and clothing

2. Canadian-based Perkopolis offers access to discounts and special offers. Perks include vendor discounts similar in nature to the Club MD program. Click their link Perkopolis for more info on where to register with your Island Health email address.

When any physician applies for read-only Powerchart access at Island Health, you will receive an official Island Health email address which enables access to the benefits and more. With a username and password to access Powerchart, those same credentials work to log into your Island Health email inbox, which is in the format of [email protected].
