The ULP is excited to share that seven new grads have joined our locum team. Since implementation start in October, ULP locums have covered 293 shifts for 49 host physicians, filling 39% of all coverage requests and providing significant time away for local FPs.

Locum demand still exceeds our supply. However, the program’s compensation increase has led to new recruitment momentum. We’re hopeful that coverage will continue to grow over time.

The ULP team is pleased to provide the seven new grads an innovative, supportive pathway to practicing family medicine in Greater Victoria. If you meet them in your clinic, please give them a warm welcome.
