One year has passed since our Primary Care Network’s Allied Health Center – and new Division office location – opened its doors on Johnson Street to support sustainable, culturally informed team-based care across PCN clinics and cohorts, while creating meaningful opportunities for community connection and collaboration on primary care improvements.
From April 2025 to March 2026, the 22 allied health clinicians working at the center supported cohort family physicians and nurse practitioners through more than 10,000 patient service appointments, allowing FPs and NPs to focus on delivering medical care.
As a hub for learning, collaboration, and engagement across our Division’s primary care community, the center also hosted 186 events involving approximately 1,940 participants over the past year, including ongoing physician and clinician engagement activities, Community Advisory Group meetings, Indigenous Circle community connects, and education sessions – all focused on strengthening local primary care.
In addition, we welcomed many community partners and regional leaders for visits, such as mayors, MLAs, MPs, and local organizations.
