Average non-urgent wait times followed by the “…” symbol now indicate that separate wait times exist for specific procedures. For example, in pediatrics, consultants often have condition-specific wait times for Autism or ADHD. MRI ordering updated
Island Health Medical Imaging have adopted appropriateness criteria for MRI ordering in alignment with provincial initiatives and Choosing Wisely Canada recommendations. Family physicians are asked to complete the MRI appropriateness checklist and submit it alongside the updated MRI requisition for lumbar spine, knee/hips, shoulder, and for headaches. Read more
