The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) supports the day-to-day operations of a busy, patient-centred medical clinic by providing administrative, clerical, and front-line patient services. This is a 0.8–1.0 FTE (Monday–Friday) in-person role and is key to ensuring a professional, efficient, and welcoming experience for patients while supporting smooth clinic flow.
Key Highlights
Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing calm, professional, and compassionate service in person and by phone
Manage appointments, recalls, patient records, and documentation using the MedAccess EMR system
Process requisitions, referrals, test results, follow-ups, and point-of-sale transactions with accuracy and discretion
Support clinic operations through exam room preparation and cleaning, supply ordering, and inventory management
Contribute to a respectful, collaborative, and efficient clinic environment aligned with the practice’s values
