The JCC Resource Catalogue contains basic overviews for common EMRs, which may be helpful for orienting new staff.
The FPSC Provincial Recruitment & Retention Steering Committee (PRRSC) has developed EMR Tip Sheets, which outline basic EMR functionality:
These Tip Sheets are a tool for medical students, residents, locums and/or new-to-practice family physicians who might be unfamiliar with a particular EMR. Each Tip Sheet walks a new user through the basics of documentation during a patient visit, including ordering medication and labs and requesting consults, among other tasks.
Please feel free to share these Tip Sheets with your colleagues. And if you have feedback on any of these tip sheets please send it to [email protected] so they can include it in the next revision.
